One common desire of the good people of Imo state, is to see the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma succeed in his works targeted at making Imo State better; especially, in the recovery mantra and infrastructure.
Ndi Imo had suffered badly in the previous administrations. Bad leadership, accompanied by abuse of power, wrongful acquisition of citizens’ land and properties, diversion and conversion of public funds into private ownership and many more. These were some of the challenges Imolites were engulfed in previously.
Imo people want their Governor, Hope Uzodimma to succeed in recovering and returning back to the people their lands and properties that were illegally and forcefully taken away in the past by few people, who were privileged to be in the corridor of power. The Governor must also try to consolidate his urban renewal and road construction policies; as well as in the war against insecurity. For most Imo people, if the Governor succeeds in these areas, he has earned a pass mark in his service to the State.
It has therefore become obvious that Imolites are eagerly supporting Gov. Hope Uzodimma if not for any other thing but to continue with the uncommon transformation going on in the state. These must continue now that the rains are almost over. The rural access roads must be urgently revisited before the busy season of Christmas, when most Imo sons and daughters are expected to reunite with their families and friends.
As a matter of fact, the government must leverage and not be deterred by the criticisms of some Imolites and opposition parties, to deliver good governance as legacy to Ndi Imo.
The people are waiting and praying that the Governor succeeds. As a matter of fact, it’ll profit us nothing if the Governor fails.
In the light of the above, Imo people are praying, wishing and pushing the Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, to succeed in his good endeavors for the state and to the state.
