Former Imo Deputy Gov. Eze Madumere Loses Mother

The Royal Family of HRH Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere, JP, of Achi, Ezi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, officially announce the transition of their wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, late Ugoeze Marlinda Chikanele Ulunma Madumere, JP, at 83 years.

Ugoeze Madumere, the mother of the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, breathed her last during a visit to the hospital for her regular medical check up.

According to the release by the Palace Secretary, Chief Vincent Oparaji Agunechemba Ezi-Mbieri Ancient Kingdom on Sunday, she died “few days ago, on a visit to the hospital for her regular medical check up, she suffered a relapse and could not be revived.

“We humbly request you to kindly remember the Madumere Royal family in prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of our dear mother.

“Ugoeze Marlinda Chikanele Ulunma was the Matriarch and Ugoeze of HRH Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere JP, the Traditional Ruler of Ezi-Mbieri Ancient Kingdom.”

He said the arrangements and details of her burial will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, when EasternEye reached out to the former Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, he described the passing his loving mother’s passingas most devastating.

“She was very strong and was always attending to her daily chores,” he stated. “But who am I to question God? She will be eternally missed. She was a loving, quiet and peaceful mother anyone could have prayed for.”
