Obi Cubana: As I No Get Money, Please Manage Me

Looking at the carnival going on at Iyiegbu’s family of Oba Anambra State since Monday ahead of their beloved mother’s burial on Friday 16th July, 2021, I felt worried to attend the funeral ceremony. You could ask why worried. I wanted to use the burial ceremony to show appreciation in condolence. But looking at what is happening at Oba, liver come cut me. My level no reach, but God dey!

What can I give as gift in solidarity that hasn’t been supplied in excess. Cows are uncountable. Brands and companies are competing on who would outdo each other in chain supply of exotic champagnes and whisky. Individuals Obi Cubana, Chairman and CEO Cubana Group turned their life into pure gold are working so hard to appreciate their boss and mentor, the last son of Ezinne Uche Iyiegbu (Odoziaku) who died at the glorious age of 78.

As poor me, its a must that I have to be at Oba to show solidarity to a kind man. Very humble, honest and hard working. A man God has used to transform many Nigeria youths and turned them to millionaires. A man who has employed more than 5000 (five thousand) Nigerians through direct and indirect jobs. It’s a must I be in Oba, nothing will stop me!

I can’t forget in a hurry that during the official Opening of Pablo Cubana Victoria Island Lagos, Obi Cubana, through Cubana Chief Priest (now Celebrity Bar’Man —Dr Ezemuo) invited me to Lagos, paid for my flight ticket thro and fro, lodged me in a hotel and paid all my bills just for poor me to be part of his brand unveiling and celebration as doyen of African entertainment and hospitality.

He didn’t stop there, during my traditional marriage on the 5th of January 2018, Obi Cubana came calling. He supplied a carton of Moet to support me. He is just like that.

You can’t believe, last year, October 2020, when my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Obi Cubana led his immediate elder brother and Executive Director of Opium Cubana Owerri to pay my little angel a visit at my Owerri residence. He came with a fat envelope. Yes. I don’t hide any favour done to me! I trumpet it to high heavens for God to take glory!

Severally, through his brother, Iyke Iyiegbu, the Cubana Owerri has hosted my birthday and Obi Cubana keeps inviting me to all his events. What a brother. What a generous kind man. What humane personality. Chai, poor me! Loved by billionaire, Obi Cubana.

As I no get money, I will not compete with Cubana Chief Priest who gifted Obi Cubana 46 Live Cows, neither will I compete with Nigeria celebrities, entrepreneurs, real estate moguls, business chief executives, Nigeria big boys in the Tourism and Hospitality industry who are competing who will impress Obi Cubana more. Even Davido, Wizkid, Flavour, Patoranky, Phyno, etc, are offering free night show at the wake keep on Thursday 15th July at Oba Carnival. Please don’t call it burial. The Iyiegbu’s are not burying their mother, they are celebrating the life and times of their mother. Mama enjoyed this life and decided to go and rest in continuation of devotional prayer for her children whom she bequeathed to the world as worthy legacies.

Dear Obi Cubana, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, Okpataozora, and your brother Iyke Iyiegbu, please manage poor me. I am only a media personality and Event Manager. I could only do Newspaper Advertorial. Please take heart. As you celebrate your mother, you children will celebrate you. Throughout the funeral programmes, no evil eyes will see or come near you people or guests.
