Senator Hope Uzodinma, have finally thrown the first open punch at the APC candidate for the Okigwe Senate Bye-election, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, when he addressed his supporters, during a rally organized for his sacked candidate, Frank Ibezim.

Uzodinma, who have been operating from the shadows since the beginning of the standoff in Okigwe APC, insisted that the primaries produced Ibezim as the legitimate candidate of the party, stating the the court order declaring Senator Ifeanyi Araraume as the authentic candidate, was gotten from Ekeonuwa market, and will not stand.

While assuring Ibezim of his support, Hope Uzodinma said; “I want to assure you the party is with you. It is very clear. Let’s says those who came here and conducted the primaries. We’ve concluded the primaries and all of us congratulated the man who won and some people went to Ekeonunwa and collected a court order. We shall know if that court order shall fly over Ariaria market”.

In a related news, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume through his media team, have condemned the comments of Hope Uzodinma, accusing him of violating court process.

Also in a related development, the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Mr. John Iwuala, have urged INEC to disqualify APC from the Senate Bye-election, for presenting two candidates.

Ibezim had urged his supporters to vote for APC in the elections, and pointers indicate he intends to grab the ticket from Araraume through the court.

The Appeal Court have yet to deliver judgment on Ibezim’s appeal against the High Court ruling, that saw Araraume declared as the authentic candidate of the party, but Hope Uzodinma seems very confident of replicating his court victory for Ibezim.
