“Hope Uzodinma Has Banned Me From His Facebook Page, ” Okorocha’s Aide Ibekwe Laments
Mr. Darlington Ibekwe, a popular critic of the Hope Uzodinma administration, and a media consultant to former governor of Imo State, and Senator representing Orlu zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, and his son- in- law, Uche Nwosu, have lamented his ban from Senator Hope Uzodinma’ s Facebook page.
Ibekwe, who is currently facing charges brought against him by the Imo State Government, at the orders of Senator Hope Uzodinma, made the disclosure on his Facebook page.
Ibekwe have been a thorn in the side of the Hope Uzodinma administration, labelling Uzodinma an Otokoto boy in a viral video he made on his Facebook page.
Ibekwe was in the company of Senator Rochas Okorocha, when the former governor attempted to break into Royal Spring Palm hotels, owned by Okorocha’ s wife Nkechi Okorocha, which was sealed at the orders of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Ibekwe and several others were arrested alongside Senator Rochas Okorocha, but while Okorocha was released the same day, the others were arraigned in a magistrate court, and handed bail of N5million each, which was met within a day.
Ibekwe have not relented in his criticism of the Uzodinma administration, which must have prompted the manager of the Hope Uzodinma Facebook page, to ban him from commenting or reacting on the page.
He appeared in court wearing a neck collar, and with bandages on his body, while he walked with the aid of a walking stick.
He alleged in one of his posts that he was assaulted by a commissioner of the state.
The State government failed to appear in court for the matter, which was adjourned for later hearing.
His recent post lamenting his ban by Uzodinma reads as follows;
” Hope Uzodimma has banned me from reacting or commenting on his official page and they keep deleting my comments.
Umunnem what did I do na?
Oh chim! Uchu! “
