Is Uzodinma owing the System that made him Governor?

At a time, he was addressed as the Supreme Court governor of Imo State. A tag that drove him to order the arrest, and prosecution of his newest disciple, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu. Some members of the opposition still brazenly call him that.

Senator Hope Uzodinma’s emergence as governor of Imo State, is without a doubt, a product of the Nigerian judicial system, and not the electoral system, as INEC declared Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo State, while the court would overturn it, and declare Senator Hope Uzodinma governor.

One now believes that since the judicial arm of government produced him, those in that sector would be more favoured than others, in dividends of democracy.

A visit to the Imo State judiciary office by MaaziTV, told a different story, as judicial workers are lamenting months of indebtedness, by the same governor their system produced.

Salaries are being owed, pensions are also owed, while entitlements of some judges that recently died, are yet to be given to their families.

According to judicial workers who spoke anonymously to MaaziTV, things have yet to change from what former governor Rochas Okorocha left behind.

Their only hope had come when Ihedioha was on seat, and they started getting their full salaries timely, but since the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodinma, it seems that the situation has become even worse than during the time of Rochas Okorocha.

Allowances that stopped coming after the removal of Dr Ikedi Ohakim, started coming again when Ihedioha took over, but suddenly stopped again after Uzodinma took over.

Aside from the cars he bought for Imo judges when he took over, the Imo State judicial workers are lamenting neglect by the Governor their system created.
