The leadership of the Ohanaeze Youths Council OYC, ably led by Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, have warned the leadership of the Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB, to be careful of the antics of the former Govenror of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha.
This was contained in a Press Release made available to MaaziTV.
The Okorocha backed Chidi Ibe faction of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, have declared support for the Nnamdi Kanu Eastern Security Network ESN.
Recently, there have been clashes between the Nigerian security forces and the ESN, in Orlu in Imo State.

Beware of Okorocha’s Antics, OYC Warns IPOB
The National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the apex youth body of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka have advised the leadership and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to be wary of the political antics of Sen. Rochas Okorocha, using his puppet, Mr Chidi Ibe to incite and sway public emotions for his selfish gain.
Speaking to press men at Awka on Tuesday 26th Jan 2021, after press congress meeting of Ohanaeze Youth Council-Oyc Anambra state chapter, Comrade Igboayaka noted that Okorocha had used the MASSOB leader, Barr. Ralph Uwazuruike, to gain political favour from the great Igbo hero Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
Unfortunately, having ascended onto power as governor of Imo state, using APGA as a vehicle, he dumped both his benefactors and the party for the APC.
“It was obvious that at the time Sen. Ahmed Tinubu was working to dominate the South West with his party, the ACN now merged into APC, Sen. Rochas Okorocha could have done the same to spread APGA within the South East and South-South, but he choose to betray both APGA members and Ndigbo,” Igboayaka stated.
Comrade Igboayaka stated that the above was the genesis of Okorocha’s ascendency to power in Igboland, after seeking to be elected in a political office for over 15 years, adding that it was through APGA and the efforts of pro-Biafrans in MASSOB that propelled him.
He noted that it will be unreasonable for IPOB to fall for the political gimmick of Rochas and Mr. Chidi Ibe, stressing that if IPOB will be blind and deaf, they will be used and dumped like MASSOB.
“The political setback Ndigbo suffered in APGA as orchestrated by Rochas Okorocha is the same romance he has initiated through his errand boy Mr. Chidi Ibe, the self-acclaimed Ohanaeze Ndigbo President all to launch his second missionary political journey of use and dump,” Igboayaka stated.
He lamented that “APGA would have given Ndigbo a clear political roadmap as Bola Tinubu spread the ACN in the West, but the unpatriotic political lifestyle of Rochas Okorocha set Ndigbo politically backward to other tribes in Nigeria political project.
He advised IPOB to watch out for their schemings, saying that Rochas Okorocha and Chidi Ibe are among the Igbo politicians who cannot proudly identify or introduce themselves as Igbo or Biafran in the gathering of Hausa/Fulani, urging them not to fall inside Okorocha’s political trap.
“The controversial issues that surrounded Prof. George Obiozor’s emergence as new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo is a deep signal that historical credible leaders always emerge through controversy, it is therefore time for all Igbo leaders, traditional rulers and political leaders to join forces with Prof. Obiozor towards the political cum economic emancipation of Ndigbo,” Igboayaka concluded.
