Former PDP Spokesperson dumps Ihedioha for Uzodinma

In a shocking turn of events, the former Spokesperson of the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Mr. Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, appears to have dumped the party, and her candidate Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha, and joined forces with Senator Hope Uzodinma.

This came as Nwaogwugwu made a post on his Facebook page, captioned “One Year After: My Critical And Unbiased Assessment Of The APC Government In Imo”, giving Senator Hope Uzodinma a glowing one year performance rating. This is a far cry from his usual antagonistic and critical position towards the Imo Govenror.

Recall that Nwaogwugwu was detained by the DSS, at the orders of Senator Hope Uzodinma, following some posts he made against the Imo Govenror, including labelling him a Supreme Court Govenror.

Nwaogwugwu was dragged to court by the Imo Govenrment over the matter. The case is still in court, however there are expectations, that following his change of allegiance, the Hope Uzodinma Government may drop the charges against him.

In a twist of events, the Imo PDP in late 2020, sacked Nwaogwugwu as the Director of New Media, despite the sacrifices he had made for the party.

His post has received a lot of knocks from those who have always supported him in the past, while supporters of Hope Uzodinma have welcomed the post as a good development.
