Uzodinma’s Govenrment has failed, Imolites says in Open Letter
OPEN LETTER TO CHIEF C.O.C AKAOLISA, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND COMMISSIONER FOR JUSTICE, IMO STATE
By Chukwukere Chidi Philip
Season greetings to you sir, in the spirit of New year and one year anniversary of the 3R administration I write to you this morning the 15th day of January 2021, precisely one year in office.
Dear attorney general, your government has been trying, but on a very low pace, we thought that by now the issue of pensioners and workers wages would have been a history in Imo State. We also expected that the last two months of dry season could have witnessed proliferation of construction work on the roads across the state.
Dear attorney general of the state, Imolites in there generality has scored this government as poor as anything that can be described as failure, even as they crys and beckons on the supreme court to do the needful.
The exclusion of Imo State in the Federal Government grant was an exposure of shambles, directionless and corruption that characterize your government.
The seven months of Chief Emeka Ihedioha brought Imo State in the lime light of transparency, accountability, zero corruption and what have you, but today Imo State was denied her right due to the corruption endemic that behoves your government.
The IMSUBEB and SEMB among other jobs recruitment of Chief Ihedioha geared towards tackling of Youth restiveness and unemployment was thrown into Oblivion immediately your government was inaugurated.
Dear attorney general and commissioner for justice, it’s very worrisome to Imo State civil servants that the litigations that your government is facing could be the major challenge for the inability of your government to pay workers and pensioner while you are hiding under the umbrella payroll fraud while our billions of naira from allocation and internally generated revenue is currently exchanging hands in Abuja while workers and pensioners are dieing in their numbers this is in reminiscence to the eight years locust of Rescue Mission administration.
As the attorney general of the state i am very confident that my message to you this morning will ascend to the seat of power in the state not as to cajole your government but as a sacrifice of sweet smelling savor, the bitter truth of the state of our dear Imo State devoid of rancor but for the love of our dear State.
On Sports, dear attorney general, it is very unheard-of that the state club went for a competition and their bus was seized due to the inability of the players for to foot their accommodation bills, nothing could be as shameful and embarrassing as this.
I don’t want to borrow the slogan of the opposition party on your government as “Push and Start” but on a closer and critical analysis of your government it is not far from the truth.
As you wrote this morning
“THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE JUSTICE YOU GAVE US IN IMO STATE ONE YEAR AGO. WE PRAYED FASTED AND CRIED FOR THE FULFILMENT OF YOUR PROPHECY. YOU HAD OUR PRAYERS AND OUR CRIES AND CAME TO OUR MERCY IN WIPING OUT OUR TEARS. THOSE WHO CHEATED US IN THE ELECTION AND GAVE US 4TH POSITION NEVER RECKONED WITH YOUR JUSTICE WHICH CAME TO GIVE US AND IMO PEOPLE PEACE. WHEN YOU STARTED YOUR MIRACLE IN THE PRIMARIES WE SAW YOUR HAND OF DELIVERANCE AND BELIEVED IN YOUR PROMISE AND COVENANT. WHEN YOU GAVE US THE INSIGHT INTO THE 388 UNIT EXCLUDED RESULT WE KNEW YOU WERE GOD BECAUSE YOUR EARLIER REVELATION TO US WAS FULFILLED IN THAT. WE SHALL FOR EVER THANK YOU LORD FOR LEADING US THROUGH THE THOUGH AND NARROW PATH TO VICTORY. YOUR JUSTICE MAY REMAIN A MYSTERY TO MAN BUT YOUR WORD WILL REMAIN TRUE FOR EVER. THANK YOU JESUS. THANK YOU LORD.” Chief COC Akaolisa I want to remind that the good people of Imo State are still in tears over the Supreme Court judgement on the 14th January 2020.
Lastly in your 3R mantra, we are yet to see properties of Imo State government been recovered from it looters, as the IBC quarters in Orji is still in the hand of the looter, the Eastern Palm University up till now Imolites can not juxtapose between state government or Rochas foundation who owns it, it’s not only a sign of weakness to your government but a colossal failure among others. Reconstruction works are only on air and pages of Newspapers. We need to see them live.
We want to see Imo back to the wheels once again, where massive recruitment (officially announced by government) not the backyard recruitment that has no security or guarantee after this government, rapid infrastructure within this few period of dey season as the major part of dry season has almost be wasted, regular and prompt payment of salaries and pension.
It’s high time you put smiles on the faces of Imolites so as to calm their nerves on the judicial rape meted on them on the 14th January 2020.
Ka Chineke mezie okwu!!!!
