2019 APC Govenroship aspirant and former Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu yesterday welcomed his first grandchild to his country home at Emekuku, Owerri North LGA.
Ejiogu’s daughter, US based consultant pediatrician, Dr. Chidera is married to Dr. Kelechi Ihekire, the second son of Justice Ihekire, and also a US based medical doctor.
The visit would be the first time the newborn would visit his mother’s birth home.
In their company were their friends including Big Brother Africa star, Uti Nwachukwu.
Senators Samuel Anyanwu (SamDaddy) and Ezenwa Onyewuchi also graced the occasion with their presence.
Sir Jude Ejiogu in a post on his verified Facebook handle, thanked God for his mercies and wished Ndi Imo a very Merry Christmas.
The highlight of the occasion, was when Sir Jude Ejiogu performed a very dear Igbo tradition of handling over a virgin female goat to his grandson, to the delight of the Catholic priest present who expressed his distress that the tradition was practically dying away, as it did not contravene the Christian religion, but was a symbolic sign of love from a father to a child.
