Nwawuba electrifies Umuonyeali Mbieri Industrial market
It was a dream come true for residents, artisans, and traders at Umuonyeali Mbieri Industrial market, as Rt Hon Henry Nwawuba, member representing Mbaitoli-Ikeduru Federal Constituency, commissioned a 500kva transformer he donated, installed and energized for their use.
In his address while commissioning the transformer, Nwawuba said as representative of Ndi Mbaike, he felt obligated to create an enabling environment for businesses to flourish in and around the market. He equally said he was impressed with the steady growth of the market, noting that Umuonyeali Mbieri Industrial market has become an indispensible industrial hub for all kinds of industrial goods and services, serving not only Mbaitoli-Ikeduru, but the entire Imo State.
Nwawuba however bemoaned the near absence of government’s attention and intervention in the market, especially on road infrastructure. He wondered why the access road leading to the market from Egbeada junction/ Orlu road, was allowed to completely break down.
To further add value to the market, Nwawuba promised to attract a bank to the market for ease of business transaction.
In his reaction, Mr Kingsley Onunwa, the President of timber traders, Umuonyeali Mbieri Industrial market, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, expressed delight over Nwawuba’s fulfilment of campaign promise to the traders.
Mr Kingsley reassured Nwawuba of the continued support of the traders any time, any day.
